Watershed Moment is about making communication easy and simple. Clear communication will engage and educate people and avoid misunderstandings. Through the application of design thinking, infographics and illustration, Watershed Moment promotes ideas and initiatives to make the world better.
Soren Henrich is a communication artist and designer in Victoria, British Columbia. He is a founding member of the Island Illustrators Society – a professional association promoting the business, art and craft of illustration. Raising three children with his wife and putting down deep community roots led to becoming a director of his neighbourhood association, a member of the Bowker Creek Initiative (BCI) Steering Committee for urban watershed renewal, and a director of the Victoria Parks and Recreation Foundation.
Soren led the Visioning Shelbourne Valley transportation Forum in 2012 and is working with neighbours for livable communities in Victoria. He set up a neighbourhood Block Watch in 2014.
He is currently reading about architecture, new urbanism, and what makes cities work. Some of his favourite authors on these subjects are: Jane Jacobs, Christopher Alexander and Malcolm Millais.
He enjoys hiking the local trails around Victoria and Vancouver Island, and is an avid urban cyclist.
